My two orange tabby cats, Marco and Polo, are my Mewsers. They are my consultants and inspiration for all of my creative work, including two blogs, a website and a children’s book about….cats! They are also members of the Board of Directors as technical consultants for Global Cat and my book (title not available publicly at this time).

You can see more of their photos on Global Cats, my companion website.
After a long search for an orange tabby, I found ’free kittens’ advertised in the classifieds. When I went to the household, there were 4 or 5 kittens running around–all orange! I took two, resisting the urge to take 3 or more. They were 8 weeks old. I wish I could say I rescued them, but it’s more the other way around. Kids grown and gone, grandkids 8 hours away by airplane, we were missing the ‘cute’ element in our life.
They stayed indoors for weeks until I thought they were old enough to venture out. Once they tasted the great outdoors they were hooked. When they are not napping on the couch they are out exploring. Marco is definitely the more adventurous one. He likes to chase anything that moves including bees, but so far he hasn’t been stung.

They are very busy ’working’ cats as you can see here. When they are not assisting in the office, or attending Board meetings, they are outdoors keeping our country ‘estate’ free from mice and rats. The only mice we see now are dead ones.
